Through the Parable of the Sower and other teachings of Jesus, The Thought explores what happens between what enters a person and what eventually comes out: understanding, belief, competition, retention, endurance, obedience, and fruit.

Woven through that investigation are stories from Whitehouse's own life—Ranger School, career and retirement, faith, failure, marriage and divorce, and the unexpected discovery that he had a grown daughter he never knew existed.

The result is not a formula for creating the future you want.
